While it is true that Christianity connects with and shares Israel's heritage, this country was built on the freedom to pursue one's beliefs, whatever they may be. Thank you for saying, "Christian Nationalism" specifically, because the rest of us Christians get a bad rap. In history, the Spanish Inquisition and the K Klux K used the Bible to try to justify their inhumane and indecent actions. Even Hitler professed to be a German Christian, though it was shown he had a disdain for Christianity. This Administration needs to stop hiding behind Project 2025, because like those before them who claimed the same harmful self-interests, they don't even adhere to biblical faith-based tenets.
Instead of "thumping" ONLY the Old Testament in the name of Christianity, they would be wise to look at the fulfillment in the New Testament. The Administration proposes anti-abortion measures but then wants to take away the support and caring for "the least of these" as Jesus implored the not so righteous Pharisees. I heard a MAGA cite the O.T. verse of "an eye for an eye" but seemed to overlook the fulfillment of the words in the N.T. "turn the other cheek." Jesus stopped the stoning of a prostitute (imagine!) and hung around with those that the religious leaders avoided and mocked. If they really read through the O.T., they'll find some stories of what happened to bad leaders/kings who faced some big, ugly consequences of their actions. Even the Israelites received punishment for disobedience when leaders led them astray. We have some "bad leaders" right about now. :)
Everyone is betrayed by trump on some level. Some of us learn it sooner than later. Some of us saw it way early and we couldn't get anyone to listen or act. Everyone in the world is harmed by him. Even those close to him - their souls are harmed by that.
I think Trump was upset at his polls and that he didn't bully the g6 into begging Putin to return. Also participants weren't kissing up but talking and snickering at him.
